Overview

The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platforms Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. The downtime will occur on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 8 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply the maintenance pack upgrade.

Benefits Include:

  • 2023-2024 Financial Aid year update for Fiscal Operations Report and Application to Participate (FISAP) reporting

What Can You Expect

Campus Solutions (CS) will not be available during the maintenance window. Affected applications include:

  • Accept Admission Offer
  • CEL Quick Admit
  • Gator Scheduler

Overview

ITS will apply monthly Windows security updates and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 6 p.m.-midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software.

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for fewer than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

Overview

Information Technology Services will be upgrading network switches on Sunday, September 18, 2022, 9:30 p.m. This will affect wired and wireless connections and VoIP phones in the listed locations.

What Can You Expect

Between 9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on 9/18 the following areas may potentially experience brief interruptions in service to WiFi, VoIP phones, and wired network services:

  • 4th & 5th floor of NAD
  • Mashouf Wellness Center
  • 12th floor of 160 Spear 
  • Corp Yard
  • Trailers
  • Fia room 325A
  • Coxfield
  • Humanities Room 312
  • Greenhouse
  • Science Rooms 111 & 215

Overview

The Chancellor's Office received reports of users trying to log in to CSU Learn over the weekend and this morning getting an error “User’s account does not exist." The situation impacts only some users across the Cal State system.

The Chancellor's Office has completed their investigation and scheduled an account data refresh tonight at 10 p.m.

What Can You Expect

Impacted users should have access to CSU Learn/SumTotal when they return to work on August 30, 2022. If you are still unable to access CSU Learn on August 30, please submit a service ticket.

Overview

The Chancellor's Office received reports of users trying to log in to CSU Learn over the weekend and this morning getting an error “User’s account does not exist." The situation impacts only some users across the Cal State system. The issue is being investigated by the Chancellor's Office. The Chancellor's Office will provide an update once the root cause is determined.

What Can You Expect

This can impact FERPA and other mandated training. ITS will send an update when there is more information to share.

Per the Chancellor’s Office, there is no need to open a service ticket if you experience this issue as they work to resolve the issue.

Overview

ITS will upgrade and reboot the network switches in the Mashouf Wellness Center (MWC), Student Health Services (SHS), Thornton, and New Admin buildings on Friday, August 5, 2022, from 6 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

All network connections (Wired, Wireless, and VoIP phones) will briefly be down at the Mashouf Wellness Center, SHS, Thornton, and New Admin buildings during the upgrade window.

Overview

ITS will upgrade the operating system on the Marcus Hall switches on Thursday, July 28, 2022, from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. This will ensure the Marcus Hall switches have the latest vendor-recommended operating system.

All network connections (Wi-Fi, VoIP phones, wired connections, and the audiovisual network) will be down during the upgrade window.

Overview

Due to the completion of the campus migration to the new Avaya Unified Communication system, ITS will shut down and remove from service the legacy NEC system on Friday, July 29, 2022, from noon – 3 p.m. The NEC system had served the University for 32 years.

What Can You Expect

There is no end user impact expected as everyone has been migrated from the NEC system to the Avaya system.
