Overview
Starting on Wednesday, November 8 at 7 p.m., ITS will be conducting an Avaya Workplace Servers Upgrade. This upgrade will run through Friday, November 10, at 8 a.m. During this time, users may be unable to log in to Avaya Workplace or experience an interruption in services. All updates will occur during non-business hours for minimal disruption.
Benefit: This update will provide Avaya Workplace with the ability to support the ACD feature and migrate the Single Sign-On (SSO) to MS Azure.
What Can You Expect
Avaya Workplace users may not be able to log in during the maintenance window or may experience intermittent service interruptions.

Overview
Beginning Friday, October 27, 2023, ITS will perform an Oracle 19C Database upgrade that will apply to the FPPRD & FWPRD databases. The upgrades will ensure our data remains protected. The maintenance window will run from Friday at 5:00 p.m. until Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 5:00 p.m.
There will be a brief interruption to all services that connect to Oracle databases during the upgrade timeframe.
Benefit: Upgrading the Oracle PROD environment will ensure we can meet the compliance standard by the CSU Chancellor’s Office.
What Can You Expect
The following applications and services will not be available during upgrading:
- Cash Offset for GL
- CFS Crosswalk
- Change Oracle Account Password
- CSU Accounting Line for GL
- Gator pass
- Independent Contractor for Auxiliary
- Prorate
- Registration Appeal
- Scheduled Jobs for Cashnet
- Short-term loan

Overview
On Friday, October 27, 2023, ITS will apply an upgrade to the Oracle 19C Database on the PROD database. The upgrades ensure our data remains protected. The maintenance window will run from Friday, October 27, 2023, 5:00 p.m. until Saturday, October 28, 2023, 5:00 p.m. There will be an interruption to all services that connect to the Oracle databases during the upgrade installation.
Benefit:
This enhancement will ensure that our Oracle databases meet CSU compliance requirements.

The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platforms Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2 & Human Resources (HR) 9.0. The downtime will occur on Friday, October 27, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply the Pathlock Security Platform upgrade.
Benefit: This update will provide general software fixes & product improvements featured in the software upgrade.
What Can You Expect
Campus Solutions (CS) and Human Resources (HR) will not be available during the maintenance window.
Affected applications include:

ITS will apply monthly Windows security and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 6 p.m.-midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for less than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

Overview
The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS). The downtime will occur on Friday, October 20, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply a maintenance pack upgrade.
Benefit: Updates to the 2023-2024 payment roster processing will accommodate revision requirements to the Middle-Class Scholarship (MCS) Program in response to the 2023-2024 Budget Act trailer bill (SB117).

Overview
On Friday, October 20, the ITS Network team will enable a new fast roaming feature for all campus WiFi access points.
Benefit: With this new feature enabled, WiFi clients will be able to connect to nearby wireless access points at a faster rate of speed while roaming. This update will improve the use of certain applications which may require faster reconnection.

On Thursday, October 19, at 10 p.m., ITS will update campus load balancers that direct traffic to services such as OnBase, Shibboleth, Gateway, on-premises mail relay, and LDAP.
Benefit:
This update will ensure increased security for all campus load-balancing services.
What Can You Expect
Some services may be temporarily unavailable during the maintenance window. If you experience difficulty accessing any load-balanced resource during this time, please try again.
