Overview
The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platforms (Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. The downtime will occur on Friday, April 19th, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply a maintenance pack upgrade.
Benefit: Cal ISIR Updates for financial aid year 2024-2025, including a new file layout, new pages, new tables, and changes to existing tables. As well as a fix to bugs found in Regs 1 PRP #3 (PeopleSoft Release Patchset), including Negative SAI (Student Aid Index) fix.
What Can You Expect
Campus Solutions (CS) will not be available during the maintenance window. Affected applications include:
- CPaGE Quick Admit
- Gator Scheduler
- Accept Admission Offer

Overview
The Chancellor's Office, along with Unisys and AWS (Amazon Web Services), has scheduled an emergency downtime maintenance window for both campus PeopleSoft platforms (Campus Solutions (CS) and Human Resources (HR)). The downtime will occur on Friday, April 26th, from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. while they work on patching a fix to resolve a connection timeout error.
Benefit: This patch will resolve connection timeout errors that users are experiencing in Campus Solutions and Human Resources after AWS migration.
What Can You Expect
Campus Solutions (CS) and Human Resources (HR) will not be available during the maintenance window. Affected applications include:
- Accept Admission Offer
- CPaGE Quick Admit
- E-TRAC
- Gator Scheduler
- HR Self-Service

Overview
On Saturday, April 13, 2024, the University web host provider, Pantheon, will perform maintenance on production and pre-production website environments.
Benefit
This upgrade will provide enhanced performance and security for University websites.
What Can You Expect
All University websites will undergo brief maintenance for approximately thirty minutes starting at midnight as our cloud host conducts planned maintenance. Content managers are advised not to make any changes during this window. The SF State home server, faculty pages, and Gateway will not be impacted.

Overview
ITS will apply monthly Windows security and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 6 p.m. to midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server reboots. During the maintenance window, each server will be unavailable for less than 10 minutes.

Overview
The SF State Faculty.sfsu.edu server will undergo scheduled maintenance on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 9 pm to 10 pm. The purpose of this maintenance is to upgrade the operating systems.
Benefit:
After the maintenance, the faculty.sfsu.edu server will be more secure as it will be current with security updates.
What Can You Expect
The websites hosted on faculty.sfsu.edu will be unavailable on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 9 pm to 10 pm.

Overview
Beginning Friday, April 12, at 6 p.m. and ending Saturday, April 13, at noon, the Chancellor’s Office will migrate PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Human Resources production environments to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.
Benefit:
Migrating Campus Solutions & Human Resources to AWS will:
- Achieve higher levels of automation
- Improve campus productivity
- Increase operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Offer greater agility to support campus initiatives
- Provide enhanced data security
What Can You Expect
During the migration, users will be unable to use any web and mobile application that accesses PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or Human Resources data. This migration impacts the following information and services:
- Class Schedule
- CPaGE Shopping Cart
- Email Account and Password Reset
- Employment information
- Faculty Grade Exceptions
- Pre-Requisite Roster/Permission Number
- Student Academic, Registration, Enrollment, and Graduation information
- Student Account and Financial Aid information

On Friday, March 29th, from 10 p.m. until midnight, ITS will upgrade the campus wireless infrastructure to a new operating system for increased security.
Benefit: This upgrade will reduce security vulnerabilities on the campus wireless network.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users will be unable to connect to the campus WiFi network.

Beginning Friday, March 22nd, at 10 p.m. and running through Saturday, March 23rd, at 2 a.m., ITS will migrate the Wi-Fi authentication system to the latest hardware and operating system.
Benefit: This upgrade will provide better system performance and network security.
What Can You Expect
Campus Wi-Fi services, including SFState and Eduroam, will not be available during the maintenance window until the migration is complete. Wi-Fi in residential areas will not be interrupted.

Microsoft resolved the Teams service issue that affected mobile and desktop clients.
What Can You Expect
MS Teams mobile and desktop clients should be working as expected.
