Mobile App Release v 3.0 Enhancing the SF State mobile app with new features and content. New features include:
  • Campus Solutions Advising Center
  • Indoor maps of campus buildings
  • Access campus resources such as bookstore, printing, and notary
  • Quickly map directions to common locations
  • Map of accessible entrances and doorways
  • New messages
  • Access the campus directory

Future Website Content Strategy and Re-design In collaboration with University Communications, we are researching a student’s journey from exploring through admissions acceptance. This research will be used to redesign the Future Students website in a way that helps facilitate this journey. Completed: 09/2017
Parking Application Upgrade This upgrade will expand the online parking request to students and allow students, faculty, and staff to request and pay for parking online. The application will send a daily report of paid permits so they can be distributed to permit holders. Completed: 08/2017
AD Sync Campus telephone records are being edited and each department/employee phone number is synchronized with the department/employee name. This project prepares campus telecommunications for voicemail over email delivery, and updates telecommunications records to help create an accurate campus telephone directory.   Completed: 04/2018
Campus WiFi Augmentation (Phase 2)   Campus wireless infrastructure is being fully augmented to sustain continuously increasing demand for wireless signal availability and higher connection speed across campus.   Completed: 08/2017
Campus Solutions / HR split & Campus Solutions 9.2 upgrade The Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2 Upgrade & Split project is mandated by the Chancellor’s Office, due to end-of-life support for the current version of CS 9.0 past December 2018. Campus Solutions (CS) and Human Capital Management (HCM) systems share an underlying database, which must be split in order for both projects to proceed. Once the database split has occurred, the CS system will be upgraded from version 9.0 to 9.2.   The current plan is to initiate a PeopleSoft freeze from August 2017 to April 2018 to allow for testing and deployment of the planned project from September 2017 to March 2018.   04/2018
Concur Travel & Expense Cloud implementation The Concur Travel project is a collaborative effort among several CSUs and the Chancellor's Office (CO) to provide a unified travel expense solution for use.  The software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution will be hosted by CSU Sacramento and managed by the CO.  We are scheduled to go-live in early 2018.   05/2018
SHIMS/IT Virtualization Student Health Information Management System (SHIMS) will be migrated from a contractor-supported, on premise infrastructure to a highly available cloud infrastructure.  Existing end point devices will be replaced with centrally-managed thin clients support by ITS.  The enhanced infrastructure is expected to provide increased security and improved performance. Endpoint Management and Protection SCCM and JAMF Pro shall be implemented to centrally manage Windows and Mac computers.  This project is in partnership with AT.  The expected benefits include improved security, increased efficiency for desktop management, and end point consistency.   06/2018
Digital TV Upgrade for Campus Residents ITS in partnership with Apogee will be upgrading the TV service in Housing in July 2017 to a new digital cable system. This upgrade will allow residents to receive better picture quality and an increased number of fully HD channels while at the same time reducing the power requirements to run the system.

BI Server Rebuild on Linux    Upgrade of the Finance Business Intelligence application. The service will be migrated to latest version of Oracle Business Intelligence 12c and run on a Linux platform, this upgrade will enhance stability and availability. TBD
Centralized Scheduling Evaluation By August 2017, perform a needs assessment, evaluate, and identify an application that can serve as a centralized scheduling and calendaring system for the University. Completed: 12/2017
