Fiscal Affairs Business Services Server Upgrade Project (Arsenio, Tram, William M, & Allen W)

FABS Server Upgrades: In Collaboration with the Clouds Applications, Systems, and Network Teams, ERP assisted with the rebuilding of two servers, critical for business operations for Fiscal Affairs. The first server is responsible for managing scheduled batch processes and producing reports from CFS.  The second is a web server responsible for administrative operations. There were over 30 applications, scripts, and processes that needed to be rebuilt, which means that if this upgrade did not happen, Fiscal Affairs business functions would cease . Allen Wong was responsible for the building of the servers, operating systems, and network access, and Arsenio, Tram and William Mac lead the way for rebuilding the business applications in both servers. We would like to thank this team for their efforts and dedication for implementing a seamless transition from the old servers to the new ones.

Evelynne L

The recent Mobile refresh project was largely built on the extensive interface designs provided by Evelynne. She surveyed student employees across campus, attended events with students to get their feedback, and worked with various organizations to determine what was needed to provide a student-focused refresh. He efforts included editing out information that wasn't used to simply the experience and working into the design new features like the next-class display which provided immediately useful information on the main screen with one-click access to maps and the instructor's email. She had an entire team behind her to figure out how to code her vision and make it real, but she deserves individual recognition for her efforts.

Mobile App Refresh project

This Shout Out goes to the mobile app refresh team in general. Nat, Stephen, Rebecca, Evelynn, and Paul. In addition, Ivan, Hugh, and Bernie were instrumental in improving the PeopleSoft connection and data integration. Every corner of the mobile app was touched by this project and it involved a lot of new research to solve user frustrations and new code to implement desired features. The app was completed early in order to meet the start of the Fall semester and avoid the production freeze. The team worked diligently to ensure the students started the semester with a fresh new mobile experience that focused on their need to find their classes, their professors, and ease into their new schedule. During the first week of class, students were complimentary regarding the improved interface and how easy it was to find their classes.
