I recently had a critical 2MB Box Note become inaccessible. I opened a ticket, and Moran did a stellar job of getting the issue resolved. She had to escalate it to Box, and worked with them to recover the information in a timely manner. I didn't lose any data. Even more importantly, she regularly kept me up to date as to the status of the issue so I always knew what was happening. I am immensely grateful to Moran for taking such good care of me and getting my issue resolved!

These developers resolved every PeopleTools 8.57 user-reported issue that came up during testing and 

provided crucial support during implementation on the weekend. They worked 8 hours on Sunday 10/11 to make sure that PeopleSoft upgrade was successful and available to the entire campus the next business day. This is project that started in March 2019 and finished on Oct 11 2020. Lots of time spent on their parts making this upgrade happen while juggling their own development projects.

Liandra has been happy to help with various tasks that are not at all her responsibility and I want to take a moment to give her a Shout Out for that. Several times in recent weeks I have asked if she could help me with some web edits and some Qualtrics edits, neither of which are her responsibility. She did so quickly and graciously and given the time sensitivity to both areas I was immensely grateful. Liandra is always willing to help, in spite of her own busy schedule and enormous list of responsibilities. It's this kind of attitude that makes ITS great, and enables us to more fully work as a team rather than in silos. I am grateful for her time, efforts, and immense talents in so many areas!

It has been over a month since I was not able to connect to Active Directory. I needed the access so that I can help to grant other people access to the website. I contacted the ITS System Team and talked to different people, but no one was able to help me to resolve my AD connection issues. I was thinking that I had to find other alternatives to connect to AD so that I would be able to step in to help the Team with the security group access privileges. Then I discussed my ongoing issues with my Team Lead. Out of his busy schedule, he scheduled a zoom meeting with me, and patiently helped me to identify the connection issues. Amazingly, he finally helped me to fix my AD connection issues where no one else could do it for me. I am very grateful for his amazing abilities and his patience to help me to fix a very needed issues so that I can continue to perform my line of duties. I want to shout out to acknowledge Srikanth for his amazing incredible wonder to always help everyone in the Team to get out of difficult situations. At the same time, I would like to thank Srikanth for his great work and effort to lead our team to always perform at our best.

Cynthia has joined in the Campus ITS UC Project beyond her networking daily tasks. She has taken on creating and presenting all the user Introduction and Training slide presentations for the Pilot project and initial rollouts. She has worked with all members of the Telecom team and the new phones to prepare impressive slides and schedule and deliver well timed presentations to users.

Jeff has stepped up to provide leadership on the ITS Service Portfolio project, all while continuing to provide web support as well as executive support to the President's Office and campus executives. Jeff excelled in learning new skills related to ServiceNow configuration and development. He also went above and beyond sharing this knowledge with other ITS ServiceNow admins and working together to overcome challenging technical requirements. In addition, Jeff took an active role in grooming and enhancing the ServiceNow backlog.in Jira. His contributions helped advance the service portfolio project and improve our teams use of Jira and Teams to promote collaboration.

Password Reset Team

The Fall Semester brought on new work for ITS, in the form of Student Password Reset codes. This work was previously performed by the Registrar and was handed over the ITS in August. Facing an additional 1+ FTE's worth of work as defined by the Registrar as well as reduced staffing in ITS (no student assistants), Alexis W and Elsie B stepped up to serve as primary support for this function. Joey D, Liandra N, Michelle M and Sterling S provided backup support. This team provided seamless support throughout the transition, and identified process improvements throughout the semester.

Golden Gator Synopsis

Every quarter ITS selects a staff member(s) or a team as a recipient for our Golden Gator Award. The winner(s) will be announced at our quarterly Town Hall meeting.

How Does it Work

If a person or team provides excellent service or leadership, you can nominate them for a shout-out on our shout-out page. There are several categories to choose from when submitting a nomination, including Calm in the Eye of the Storm, the Behind the Scenes Wonder, Above & Beyond the Call, Customer Whisperer, Unwavering Dedication to Service, Unexpected Leader, and other, where you may write in another category of your own choosing. Once you select your preferred category, you can then compose an explanation behind your shout-out submission. Please include your name, department, and email address.

What Happens Next

Once we receive your nomination, we will notify the nominee(s) and their supervisors letting them know they’ve been nominated. ITS will then post the nomination to our ITS shout-out wall. The shout-out will be listed under the quarter in which they were received. At the end of the corresponding quarter, ITS’s Staff Advisory group and one member from outside ITS will meet to vote on all the nominations received. Based on the tally of votes, we will determine who will receive our Golden Gator Award for the quarter. We will then notify you that your nominee was chosen as a winner. The winner(s) will be announced at our Town Hal meeting  and listed as such on our shout-out wall.
