On Saturday, August 3, from 4 to 10 p.m., ITS will apply monthly security and critical OS updates on the Linux servers.

 

Benefit: The latest security updates and bug fixes will improve the security and reliability of the Linux servers and associated services.

 

 

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service. Each service will be unavailable for approximately ten minutes.

Overview

The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtown maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platform Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. This downtime will occur on Friday, July 26, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply a maintenance pack upgrade.

 

Benefit:  The disbursement modification will adjust students' awards for a term based on enrollment and enrollment intensity to deliver funds on time.

After the Disbursement Proration process, the item types become out of sync. This process will sync all item types with the offered, accept, and disbursement amounts on the "Fiscal Item Type" page.

 

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, the PeopleSoft platform campus Solutions (CS) will be temporarily unavailable. This maintenance window will impact several applications, including: 

 

- Accept Admission Offer

- CPaGE Quick Admit

- Gator Scheduler

On Monday, July 22, 2024, ITS will upgrade the listserv, lists.sfsu.edu, to the latest Sympa software.

 

Benefit: After completing this maintenance, the service will be more secure, and the listserv performance will significantly improve, providing you with a better user experience.

 

What Can You Expect

During this maintenance window, the listserv, lists.sfsu.edu, will be unavailable on July 22, 2024, from 10 to 11 p.m.

Overview

The ITS Service Desk will relocate to a temporary space in the library effective Friday, July 19. During this transition period, we will temporarily suspend in-person appointments and conduct all appointments virtually and by phone. We hope to have the ITS Service Desk fully operational in the library by the end of next week. This change is necessary to ensure a smooth relocation process and to minimize disruptions to our services so that we can serve our customers best. The latest Windows security patches fix vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers. 

 

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server reboots. During the maintenance window, each server will be unavailable for less than 10 minutes.

Benefit:

This updated patch includes the following items:

  • 2024-2025 Cal Grant Phase 2 Retrofits
  • Update to Cal Grant Input Detail Document specifications for the 24/25 academic year 
  • Retrofitted PLUS Loan mod in response to the removal of CS permission to PS_EMPLOYEES to verify if a parent borrower is a past or present employee.

Please note that the original maintenance pack upgrade, which was scheduled for this Friday, June 14, will now take place next Friday, June 21, and encompass the following modifications.

 

Benefit:

This updated patch includes the following items:

 

-  Modifications to 2024-25 Financial Aid Cal ISIRs, including changes to the record length,  additional field, and valid content.

-  Updates to the 2024/2025 Financial Aid Awarding process, which has enhancements to the 2024/2025 ISIR comment code and customization of view used to display ISIR reject codes on the Financial Aid Status Page.

-  Pell Grant Awarding Fixes

-  Cal Grant Updates include file layout, import, and load process updates.
