RESCHEDULED: Avaya Workplace Servers Outage During Maintenance (Thursday, January 18, 2024 – Friday, January 19, 2024)

Overview:

Due to the power outage affecting campus on Tuesday, January 16, ITS will now conduct the Avaya Workplace Server maintenance tomorrow, January 18, at 7 p.m. This maintenance will run through Friday, January 19, at 8 a.m. During this time, users may be unable to log in to Avaya Workplace or experience an interruption in services. All maintenance will occur during non-business hours for minimal disruption. 

 

Benefit: Avaya Workplace will have the ability to support ACD feature and migrate SSO to MS Azure 

 

What Can You Expect

All Avaya Workplace users may be unable to log in during the maintenance window or experience intermittent service interruptions.

Monthly Windows Update (Saturday, January 13, 2023, 6 p.m.-midnight)

Overview

ITS will apply monthly Windows security and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, January 13, 2023, from 6 p.m.-midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.

 

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for less than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

Canvas Whiteboard Tool Enabled on Box (Friday, January 12, 2024)

Overview

Starting Friday, January 12, 2024, ITS will enable the Canvas whiteboarding feature within the Box platform.

 

 

What Can You Expect

Users will now be able to collaborate using the Canvas whiteboard tool while using Box services.

RESOLVED: Box Cloud Drive Outage (Friday, December 15th, 2023)

Overview

The issue affecting Box.com, causing users to be unable to access their files, has been resolved.

 

What Can You Expect

Box.com services are now working as expected. Users should have no issues using Box as usual.

Box Cloud Drive Outage (Friday, December 15th, 2023)

Overview

Our cloud storage provider, Box.com, is experiencing an issue impacting all Box Services. Users attempting to use Box may see errors and timeouts, but for the most part, services will be completely inaccessible.

 

What Can You Expect

You may experience Box.com issues until this issue is resolved. ITS will provide you with updates as we acquire them.
