Timothy C.

While the team was working diligently to set up and integrate the West Grove Commons door locks in time for Fall move-in, which was successful, Tim was walking the halls of West Grove Commons during construction and testing every door lock. Each time the contractor declared the doors working, Tim would drive to campus and repeat his testing. This went for several rounds before the locks truly were working as required. This testing was technically outside of Tim's scope and should have been performed by the vendor.

West Grove Commons Door Locks

Partway through the West Grove Commons construction, the One Card office purchased contracts for mobile student credentials (digital One Cards) and the associated hardware and software for West Grove Commons to make this work on residential door locks. Coming after the initial design process and involving a change of scope to WCG construction, the Business Apps team was thrown into a worst-case scenario.
