Overview
160 Spear Street remains without Internet, Wi-Fi, and Phone Connectivity. AT&T has isolated the problem and is performing fiber restoration work. They have engaged a specialist to assist with repairs and are awaiting a dispatch into the AT&T Network at their Central Office. AT&T does not currently have an ETR (Estimated Time to Repair) but ITS will continue to follow up and send regular updates.
What Can You Expect
Currently there is no Internet, Wi-Fi, or phone connectivity at 160 Spear Street. ITS will send an update as soon as we have more details.

AT&T has advised that the problem is not on the 160 Spear Street side and believes the problem to be with fiber closer to the 1600 Holloway Avenue side. Overview
AT&T will be patching our Avaya telecom servers to patch the Log4j vulnerability on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 4:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m.
What Can You Expect
All Avaya phone services will be intermittently unavailable while the servers are being patched. Elevator phones and code blue phones will not be impacted.

END OF DAY UPDATE: Office 365 and Teams Service Degradation (Thursday, January 27, 2022 – 4:25 p.m.)
Overview
Microsoft has reported Office 365 issues that have caused degradation of Microsoft email and MS Teams services. Microsoft continues to report that Office 365 email services are in a degraded state. Teams should be working normally again.
What Can You Expect
Some users might experience intermittent issues connecting to Office 365 email services, but should have no problems with Teams.

Overview
SF State Web Application services will undergo a scheduled maintenance on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 10:00 p.m. - midnight. The purpose of this maintenance is to update the SSL certificate that secures the browsing communication. This will allow for secure web browsing when accessing SF State web applications.
What can you expect
During this maintenance, users may not be able to access the following services:

Overview
ITS will apply monthly Windows security updates and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, January 15, 2022, from 6:00 p.m.-midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.
What can you expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for fewer than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

Overview
The ITS Network team will perform maintenance on Friday, January 7, 2021, from noon – 4:30 p.m. to increase security on the Border Firewall.
What can you expect
ITS does not expect any impact to traffic passing through the border firewall. We will be closely monitoring incoming and outgoing traffic to ensure connectivity.
