Overview
ITS will apply monthly Windows security updates and critical updates on Windows servers on Monthly Windows Update (Saturday, April 16, 2022, 6:00 p.m.-midnight). The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for less than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

What Can You Expect

Overview
A critical Oracle patch will be applied on the OBPRD database starting on Friday, April 8, 2022. These critical security updates are being applied to ensure our data remains protected. The maintenance will be from Friday, April 8, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday April 9, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. There will be an interruption to all services that connect to the Oracle databases while the patch is being applied.

Security updates will be applied on the Institution Research database starting on Friday, April 1, 2022. This will help ensure our data remains protected. The maintenance will be on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

During the update, the Institution Research Service will not be available.

Overview
The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. The downtime will occur on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply maintenance pack upgrade. Benefits include:
Updated to the 2022-2023 College Financial Plan
- Enhancement to residency logic for transfer applicants and applicants less than 19 years old
- Load and post official Advanced Placement (AP) and TOEFL MyBestScores
What Can You Expect

Overview
From Friday, April 1, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. through Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 5:00 p.m., ITS will expand the discontinuation of legacy email authentication protocols to all accounts in order improve the security of our infrastructure.
What Can You Expect
This will impact any user that is still using legacy email authentication, including students. Most users will need to switch to using Outlook for desktop, Outlook for Mobile, or Outlook Web Access (OWA).

Overview
On Friday, March 25, 2022, from 8:00 p.m.-midnight, ITS will renew the security certificate for our Domain Controllers which serve the LDAP/LDAPS connections. This change will impact system services that connect to Active Directory via LDAPS. This change has been coordinated with the impacted service owners. The certificate enables encrypted communication between applications and domain controllers.
What Can You Expect
End users or clients should not experience any issues with their connectivity to SF State resources. Application administrators should confirm that their applications which use secure LDAP have a valid certificate chain installed, and be prepared to install the updated certificate if needed.
