Overview
A critical Oracle patch will be applied on the OIMPRD database starting on Friday, March 11, 2022. These critical security updates are being applied to ensure our data remains protected. The maintenance will be from Friday, March 11, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. to Saturday, March 12, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. There will be an interruption to all services that connect to the Oracle databases while the patch is being applied.
What Can You Expect
The following applications and services will not be available during patching:
- The Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) Provisioning system

Overview
ITS will apply monthly Windows security updates and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, March 12, 2022, from 6:00 p.m.-midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for less than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

Overview
The ITS Network team will update the main GlobalProtect VPN portal (gp.sfsu.edu) to use the default browser on Thursday, March 10, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. Updating to use the default browser is a necessary step in enabling additional security features.

Your GlobalProtect VPN login experience will change after this update.

Overview
ITS is investigating an email issue associated with Qualtrics-generated emails not being delivered to SF State email accounts.
What Can You Expect
Qualtrics emails being sent to SF State email accounts are not being received by users. Qualtrics emails sent to non-SF State email accounts are not impacted, and continue to operate as expected.

Overview
The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platforms (Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2 and Human Resources (HR) 9.0. The downtime will occur on Friday, February 18, 2022, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply maintenance pack upgrade. Benefits include:
- Enhancements to CSU Integration Framework
- Updates to IRS transmission file
- Updates to Local Area Evaluation

All CMS Data Center services will be unavailable from Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 10:00 p.m.-Sunday, February 20, 2022, at 9:00 a.m.

Campus Solutions (CS), Human Resources (HR), Common Financial Systems (CFS), and Financial Data Warehouse (FDW) will be unavailable during the maintenance window. Scheduled jobs during this maintenance window may also be impacted. Affected applications include:
