Telecommunications Team

This team is tiny, but mighty. Alex, Wilbur, and Sal are extremely effective, dedicated and and make for a seriously resilient team. They are able to handle issues with grace, acting as strong university advocates to external vendors, all the while keeping up with day-to-day responsibilities and project work. They are true behind-the-scenes wonders. Alex, Wilbur, Sal -- thanks for all you do!

Kat goes well above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to customer service! She provides prompt, outstanding assistance with a very pleasant and positive demeanor. She always ensures that the issue is completely resolved and that any questions you have are answered. When she assists with showing how to use a new technical device, she has the heart of a teacher!

Monthly Windows Update (Saturday, September 16, 2023, 6 p.m.-midnight)

Overview

ITS will apply monthly Windows security and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 6 p.m. to midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.

 

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for less than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.

Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2 Production Downtime (Friday, September 15, 2023, 8 p.m. – midnight)

Overview

The Chancellor’s Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platform Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. The downtime will occur Friday, September 15, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor’s Office works to apply a maintenance pack upgrade.

 

Benefit: 

This downtime will apply new functionality to support the automated processing of the Parent PLUS loan. In addition, there will also be updates to Middle Class Scholarship (MCS) import, search/match, load and validation processes, and related application tables and pages to accommodate file layout and program changes effective AY ‘23-’24.

 

What Can You Expect

 Campus Solutions (CS) will not be available during the maintenance window.
