Overview

Information Technology Services will be upgrading network switches on Sunday, September 18, 2022, 9:30 p.m. This will affect wired and wireless connections and VoIP phones in the listed locations.

What Can You Expect

Between 9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. on 9/18 the following areas may potentially experience brief interruptions in service to WiFi, VoIP phones, and wired network services:

Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2 Production Downtime (Friday, September16, 2022, 8 p.m. – midnight)

Overview

The Chancellor's Office has scheduled a downtime maintenance window for campus PeopleSoft platforms (Campus Solutions (CS) 9.2. The downtime will occur on Friday, September 16 from 8:00 p.m. to midnight while the Chancellor's Office works to apply a maintenance pack upgrade.

Benefits Include:

  • Maintenance patch for 2023-24 Cal State Apply, which includes campus update requests, Chancellor's Office updates, and updates for the application.

What Can You Expect

Campus Solutions (CS) will not be available during the maintenance window. Affected applications include:

- CEL Quick Admit

- Gator Scheduler

- Accept Admission Offer

Monthly Windows Update (Saturday, September 17, 2022, 6 p.m.-midnight)

Overview

ITS will apply monthly Windows security updates and critical updates on Windows servers on Saturday, September 17, 2022, from 6 p.m.-midnight. The latest Windows security patches fix the vulnerabilities and errors in Windows and associated software.

What Can You Expect

During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server is rebooted. Each server is expected to be unavailable for fewer than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.
