Overview
On Saturday, December 6, from 4 to 6 p.m., Information Technology Services (ITS) will perform monthly security and critical operating system (OS) updates on Linux servers.
Benefit
The latest Linux security patches fix vulnerabilities and errors in Linux and associated services. Security and critical updates reduce the risk of exploitation by malware or hackers.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each service is rebooted. Each service is expected to be unavailable for less than 10 minutes.
