Overview
Information Technology Services (ITS) will apply out-of-band (OoB) Windows security and critical updates to Windows servers on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 6 p.m. to midnight. An out-of-band (OoB) update is an emergency patch released by Microsoft outside the regular monthly schedule to fix critical issues such as security vulnerabilities or system errors. These updates address known vulnerabilities and improve system stability, helping protect against malware and other security threats.
What Can You Expect
During the maintenance window, users may experience a brief loss of service while each server reboots. Each server will be unavailable for less than 10 minutes during the maintenance window.
