Installation Instructions for SFSU-Issued Unmanaged Macintosh Machines
Information
Please note that the Mac version of the Avaya Workplace application will not support Caller ID.
Install Certificate
1) Download the certificate file from the Box folder below using the Download button.

NOTE: if you are logging into Box for the first time, you may not be placed in the correct folder; please try selecting the link again.
2) Select Finder, then select the Go option from the menu at the top and select Utilities, and then open the Keychain Access app.
3) In the Keychain Access window, select the System tab on the left.
4) Select and drag the SystemManagerCA.cacert.crt certificate into the Keychain window.
5) Log in through the pop-up window to enable the change to the system keychain and select Modify Keychain
NOTE: You must be an administrator for the device
6) Double-click the System Manager CA certificate to see details
7) Select the Trust section to show the contents
8) Next to When using this certificate, select the drop-down menu and change it from Never Trust to Always Trust
9) Close the Certificate window.
10) Log in through the pop-up window to enable the change to your Certificate Trust Settings and select Update Settings
NOTE: You must be an administrator for the device
11) Close the Keychain Access application window.
Install Workplace Client
1) Download the installer “AvayaWorkplaceMacOS-3.17.0.64.6.dmg” from the Box folder below using the Download button
a) https://sfsu.app.box.com/v/AvayaWorkPlace/folder/121561376040
2) Navigate to your Downloads folder and open the zip file
3) Run the installer “AvayaWorkplaceMacOS-3.17.0.64.6.dmg ”
4) Double-click the Install option to continue
5) Confirm that you would like to open the app by selecting Open
6) Select OK to continue the process
NOTE: Not all Mac operating systems will display this message
7) In the installer window, select Allow or Continue
8) Select Continue to begin the process
9) At the Software License Agreement, select Continue
10) Select Agree to continue
11) Select Install to begin the installation
12) In the "Installer is trying to install new software” pop-up window, enter your computer username and password
NOTE: You must be an administrator for the device
13) When the installation is complete, select Close
14) At the prompt, select OK
NOTE: Not all Mac operating systems will display this message
15) Select the Move to Trash button to remove the installer file
16) Close the installer with the red X button at the top left of the window
17) Select Finder, then select the Go option from the menu at the top and select Applications, and then open the Avaya Workplace application. You may wish to drag this to your dock for future access.
18) Enable notifications for Avaya Workplace by selecting Allow.

23) The installation is complete.
Client Setup
NOTE: Before opening the Avaya Workplace, you must connect to GlobalProtect VPN
1) Open the Avaya Workplace application
2) At the setup screen, select Configure my account
3) Enter your SF State email address and select NEXT.
4) Sign in through the SF State Global Login using your SF State email address and password.
NOTE: You must use the SF State email address instead of ID number for the username
5) Authenticate through Duo using a push notification or code
6) You will be taken to the Avaya Workplace tutorial. Select the NEXT button to continue through the tutorial, and PREVIOUS to view previous screens.
7) Select DONE to complete the tutorial.
