Adobe Creative Cloud Guide

If you currently have an older version of the Adobe suite or just Adobe Acrobat Pro installed, you must uninstall it first, restart your computer, then follow the instructions below to install the Adobe Creative Cloud app. If you have trouble removing older versions of Adobe products, you may need to use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool provided by Adobe.

Graduating Students

When students graduate or leave the University, they will lose access to the SF State Adobe Creative Cloud license. To migrate their content that they may have stored in the Adobe Creative Cloud to a personal account, students can use the Adobe Graduation portal at https://graduation.adobe.com. What Software and Services are Available?

The license provides all Adobe Creative Cloud applications available in the subscription. This includes the Creative Cloud app, which is a portal to access Adobe CC and the more than 20 Creative Cloud desktop and mobile apps and services.

Install Adobe Creative Cloud app for Mac

  1. Visit the Adobe website and download the Creative Cloud app:
    1. Using a web browser, navigate to http://adobe.com.
    2. Select Sign In in the upper right-hand corner of window.
    3. Enter your full SF State email address in the Sign In dialog box and select Continue.
    4. Select Company or School Account. The SF State Global Login dialog box should open.
    5. Enter your SF State credentials and click Login.
    6. Click on Install Creative Cloud app under Quick links.
    7. Click on Allow in response to Do you want to allow downloads on “creativecloud.adobe.com”?
    8. The Creative Cloud installer file, Creative_Cloud_Installer.dmg, will be downloaded to the Downloads folder.
  2. Install the Creative Cloud app:
    1. Double-click the Creative Cloud Installer.app icon.
    2. Click Open.
    3. Enter the computer’s administrator account’s Username and password.
    4. Click on Continue. You will see the confirmation message, You’re all set, and the installation will continue.
    5. Upon completion, the dialog box, Welcome to Creative Cloud will be displayed.
    6. Select Skip or Take tour.
  3. Log in to the Creative Cloud, install, and use apps and access services:
    1. Start up the Creative Cloud app.
    2. Enter your SF State email address and select Continue.
    3. Select Company or School Account. The SF State Global Login dialog box should open.
    4. Enter your SF State credentials and select Login.

 

Install Adobe Creative Cloud app for Windows

  1. Visit the Adobe website and download the Creative Cloud app:
    1. Using a web browser, navigate to http://adobe.com.
    2. Select Sign In in the upper right-hand corner of window.
    3. Enter your full SF State email address in the Sign In dialog box and click Continue.
    4. Select Company or School Account. The SF State Global Login dialog box should open.
    5. Enter your SF State credentials and select Login.
    6. Select Install Creative Cloud app under Quick links.
    7. Select Save File to download the Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe file.
  2. Install the Creative Cloud app:
    1. Double-click the Creative Cloud Installer file, Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe.
    2. Select Install anyway.
    3. Select Yes in User Account Control dialog box
    4. Select Open.
    5. Enter the computer’s administrator account’s Username and password.
    6. Select Continue. You will see the confirmation message, You’re all set, and the installation will continue.
    7. Select Start installing.
    8. Select OK on the Welcome to Creative Cloud dialog box.
  3. Log in to the Creative Cloud, install, and use apps and access services:
    1. Start up the Creative Cloud app.
    2. Enter your SF State email address and click Continue.
    3. Select Company or School Account. The SF State Global Login dialog box should open.
    4. Enter your SF State credentials and select Login.
    5. Install, and use any of the Adobe Creative Cloud apps available in the subscription or access the available services, including tutorials.

 

Install Creative Cloud app for Windows (ITS Managed)

  1. You must be on the campus network or connected to the campus VPN, if working remotely.
  2. Open Software Center.
  3. Select the Adobe application you would like to install.
  4. Press the Install button.
