iPhone Apple Mail Issues (Friday, October 1, 2021 – 5:00 p.m.)


ITS is receiving user reports of issues connecting to their SF State email on Apple’s iPhone Mail application. Users are reporting an error stating “Password Incorrect: Enter the password for the Exchange account”.

What can you expect: 

It is recommended that users use the Outlook Mobile App as it is the only officially supported app. Users who are looking to continue to use Apple Mail can attempt to (1) delete their SF State mail profile on their phone (Settings > Mail > Accounts > select SF State account > Delete Account) and (2) then re-add it (Settings > Mail > Accounts > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange > enter your SF State email > Next > Sign In > Work or school account > then SF State Global Sign In).
