Minitab is a statistical software application that is used for data analysis. It provides data analysis through Minitab's Assistant which directs the analysis and helps interpret the results. Minitab provides access to a complete set of statistical tools, including Descriptive Statistics, Hypothesis Tests, Confidence Intervals and Normality Tests. SF State supports Minitab 16 for Windows. The software is only available in designated campus computer labs.
SAS and SAS e-Learning
SAS provides a scalable, integrated software environment specially designed for data access, transformation, and reporting. It includes a fourth-generation programming language; ready-to-use programs for data manipulation, information storage and retrieval, descriptive statistics and report writing. SF State supports SAS 9.2 and 9.3 for Windows. SAS is not available for Mac OS. SAS is available in Academic Technology's Labspace, and in several campus computer labs for student access. IBM SPSS Statistics and IBM SPSS Amos
IBM SPSS Statistics software is an analytical process analysis tool. The software includes a broad array of fully integrated Statistics capabilities and related products for specialized analytical tasks across many environments. IBM SPSS Amos gives you the power to easily perform structural equation modeling to build models with more accuracy than standard multivariate statistics techniques.
